Itinerary
Arrival in Pakse, meet at the airport then transfer to hotel. Check-in time: 14h00. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Accommodation: Hotel in Pakse
At 09h30: Appointment at Sinouk Coffee House in central Pakse. You are transferred by car to Pha Pheng Waterfall also known as “The Niagara of the East “, then you are led to a fishing village Xieng Di for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After this you are transferred to a small boat to Khone island where you can visit the old French railway and cross a bridge that connects the Khone island & Det island.
Back on the small boat, you are transferred to Vat Phou boat, waiting in Ban Veuthong. You are welcomed on board with a drink and a set menu dinner.

6:00 : The boat leaves.
7:00 : continental breakfast.
The first stop is at Ban Deua Tia where you can walk through this small Laotian village to observe a traditional lifestyle. After, back on board. The boat starts to cruise through the northern wilderness paradise of “4000 islands”. A Set menu lunch is served on board .
The second step is the village of Huei Thamo & Oum Muong Temple hide in the forest. You are transferred to the boat to enjoy the tropical sunset on the deck. Set menu dinner on board.

6:00 : The boat leaves.
7:00 : continental breakfast.
The highlight of the morning is to take a bit of local transport to visit the ruins of Wat Phu and its museum , the majestic temple complex pre-Angkorian 10th century . You are then transferred to the boat for set menu lunch on board.
Finally , the boat takes you back to Champasak and you will arrive in Pakse around
16:00.Transfer to hotel in Pakse.

Free morning. Transfer to the airport Pakse, flight to Vientiane. In the afternoon , visit the main temples : Wat Sisaket, Vat Prakeo, That Luang stupa, Patuxai (Arc de Triomphe) and walk along the Mekong to watch the sunset.

Following breakfast, we visit the morning market Talat Sao. Road to Vang Vieng (150 km, 04 hours drive). We’ll arrive in the afternoon to this small and tranquil town nestled on the bank of the Nam Song River.

Departure for Luang Prabang (230km, 06 hours drive), visit Kmou, Thai and Lao Hmong minority villages en route. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, we visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture throughout the ages. We then enjoy a short-guided tour to see the city’s oldest temple Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong.
We’ll also see visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset.
From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textile made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Breakfast. As you sail further downriver, you will pass areas of unmarred lush forest with little villages along the riverbanks and perhaps the odd elephant or two with his mahout. You visit a fishing village and a rice winemaking village and perhaps even taste some of the infamous beverage known as Lao Rice wine. You also visit the Pak-Ou caves, where thousands of Buddha statues are stored.
You arrive in Luang Prabang around sunset and transfer to your hotel. This charming city of UNESCO world heritage site, The Luang Prabang is a small, dream-like town on the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, in a beautiful mountainous setting. From 1353 until 1545 it was the capital of Lane Xang before power was transferred to Vientiane.
Despite the move, Luang Prabang remained the seat of monarchical power and when the kingdom broke up in 1694, one of the deceased king’s grandsons established a rival kingdom to those in Vientiane and Champasak. Though weakened, the Luang Prabang royalty endured until 1975, when after the reign of 63 kings it was formally dissolved.
You will spend the day exploring the temples and sites in what is called one of the last Shangri-La’s of Southeast Asia.

Departure to All Lao, located 12 km from Luang Prabang (20 minute drive) for an elephant ride (30 minutes) and on to the beautiful Falls Khuangsi , located 30 km from Luang Prabang. Along the way, visit Lume Lao, Hmong and Kmou minority villages. Return to Luang Prabang by late morning. Check-out hotel at 12:00. Free time. Transfer to the airport for the return flight . End of services .
